How do I manage my password?

Password requirements


Your password is what lets you access Daylight (through the API or the web interface). The usual guidelines apply: pick something that is difficult for other people or computers to guess, don't use the same password on multiple websites, etc.  Luminoso does not have requirements for you to include numbers or uppercase letters or other characters (which can potentially make passwords harder to remember and/or easier to guess), so you should use your judgment.


However, we do have two password requirements (in effect for all passwords created on or after 26 April 2014):

  • Passwords must be at least 4 characters and at most 100 characters long.

  • Passwords may contain any of the 95 ASCII printable characters, and may not contain any other characters.


How do I change my password?


Log into Daylight by visiting https://daylight.luminoso.com. Enter your existing username and password and click Log in.


Once you have logged in, you will see your username on the top right corner of the screen. Click your username and select User Settings. You will see three tabs for User Settings: User Information, Password, and API Tokens.  


Select Password. You will then be prompted to enter your current password and enter your new password. Click Change Password when you are ready to reset your password.



What if I forgot my password?


From the login screen, click Forgot password? to access to the Forgot Password page. You will be prompted to enter your email address. A password recovery email will be sent to that address. 



If you cannot access your account, please notify support@luminoso.com or submit a ticket.

Some spam filters may send these emails to your spam or junk folder.
